I gave it three stars because its dam akward trying to reverse your caravan in the tight and narrow lanes. Toilets clean and lots of hot water. They charge to wash your cars, other places have been free. Pool good. Reasonable shady. Just tight, even campers are put in tight small spots. All about there cabins for the miners, then again thats a more stable income.
Great that this place is pet friendly (not that we had our dogs) but cabins could use a little more airing in between guests as ours still smelt quite doggy. Place was really clean and quiet and we had a short walk to beach and creek which the kids loved. Staff were really helpful when there was a n issue with our booking (company we booked throughs fault not discover parks). Would stay again.
Cooke Point Holiday Park - Aspen Parks has some interesting information on why Australia is called the land down under?
Australia is known as 'the land Down Under' for its position in the southern hemisphere. The discovery of Australia began when European explorers searched for land under the continent of Asia. Before Australia was discovered, it was known as Terra Australis Incognita the unknown southern land.
