Departing Geraldton we fly over the city and head north to the stunning Pink Lake You will enjoy the spectacular view as you hear the pilot’s commentary and learn how the lake gets its vivid colour. The aircraft then leaves the mainland and tracks west to the famous Abrolhos Islands. These are located 55 km off the Geraldton coast, there are 122 islands in all. Unique fishing villages can be seen along with the Batavia shipwreck site and the fort that was built during the mutiny. We then track direct back to Geraldton with a flight time of approximately 2 hours.

Stop At: Shine Aviation - Day Tours, Geraldton-Mount Magnet Road Geraldton Airport, Geraldton, Western Australia 6532 Australia

Meet at Shine Aviation Services, at Geraldton Airport. On arrival, check-in at reception, your pilot will show you on a map where you will be flying then give a safety brief.

Duration: 45 minutes

Pass By: Pink Lake, Port Gregory 65 Kms South of Kalbarri, Kalbarri, Kalbarri National Park, Western Australia 6535 Australia

Once on board, each passenger will be given a headset, this will allow you to hear the on board commentary and for you to ask the pilot questions.

Once airborne, the fixed-wing plane will fly over Geraldton, then track the north coast for approximately 25-minutes to the pretty fishing town of Port Gregory,  where the Pink Lake is. Here you will enjoy the beautiful views as the plane conducts orbits, providing you with numerous photo opportunities. You will learn how the lake gets it's vivid color from the presence of carotenoid-producing algae.

Pass By: Via Geraldton, 70 Kms by Boat Abrolhos Islands, Western Australia Geraldton 6530 Australia

The aircraft will then leave the mainland to flyover the remote Abrolhos Islands. This provides a remarkable view of pearl farms, a shipwreck site and the very first European building in Australia. The scenery is sensational with blue, crystal clear water and contrasting pristine beaches, the fishing villages also provide remarkable viewing.

The plane will then track direct back to Geraldton Airport, landing, after a tour time of 2.1 hours.
