Tucked away in Kensington is The Rising Sun, originally an inn established in 1846 and now one of Adelaide’s premier dining experiences. History and character fill every corner of the restaurant, whose cosy bar and fireside tables summon patrons to savour a drop from the extensive wine list and indulge in good food in good company. Service is warm and attentive and the contemporary Australian dishes skilfully prepared. Assorted mezze like pan seared bug tails in oregano and garlic with marinated chickpeas make ideal nibbles or preludes to such mains as slow cooked venison shoulder paired with caramelised onion brioche, roasted beetroot, tart berry jam and chocolate infused glaze.

    Quietly tucked away in the back streets of South Melbourne lies this gastronomic haven. Best veal schnitzel I've had in a long time. Service was amazing even on a busy Friday lunchtime.

    Friendly pub, reasonably priced meals. Cozy fire in dining room in winter. GREAT hotel to watch a Swan's game , traditional gather place for supporter's of the Sydney Swans (and South Melbourne FC). Have booked events space upstairs which was also reasonably priced.

    Nice little Pub in South Melbourne just across Albert Park. They have live music and good choice of ale and not small food menu. Big sport screens complement the interior while funky jazz plays in the background. Nice.

    5 stars for Swannies fans. Atmosphere was electric during the game. Staff were great also. Plenty of screens to watch the game. Can't wait to go back.

    Was there 9th Friday 2 Raglan St Has a TAB Has a Lounge Had a Function.Room Very well run was at.a function.12-3pm Food really beautiful good portions Mine and the 7 others on Table But for me the major tick Beer very cold Wine just right. Spend a relaxing afternoon at the Rising Sun
