About Featherdale Wildlife Park General Admission

Book Direct with the Owner at Featherdale Wildlife Park General Admission with Tourism Bookings WA in Sydney, for all your Attraction and travel needs.

Visit: Featherdale Sydney Wildlife Park, 217 - 229 Kildare Rd Doonside, Blacktown, New South Wales 2767 Australia

Make your own way by car or public bus to Featherdale Wildlife Park, situated 45 minutes by road to the west of Sydney on the way to the Blue Mountains. More than 2,000 native animals live on seven acres among native plants and trees.

Have the chance to hand-feed friendly wallabies and kangaroos under supervision by our talented keepers and take your photo near one of the many koalas that live here. Check out the Tasmanian devils, endangered due to the impact of a devastating disease in the past two decades. Or compare the park’s two wombat species: the Southern hairy-nosed wombat and the common wombat.

Explore 26 realistic exhibits in the Reptilian Pavilion where 40 different native species of reptiles reside. See lizards, turtles, crocodiles, pythons and venomous snakes among the scaly creatures in this display. Then check out the bird section where you can find festively feathered parrots, sleek waterbirds and endearing little penguins, large birds like emus and southern cassowaries, and more.

Feeding times and keeper presentations occur throughout the day and are detailed in the Itinerary below. Learn fascinating facts about the echidna, a mammal that is related to the platypus. Other talks feature the dingos, koalas, pelicans and flying foxes.

Why not add on the Personal Koala Encounter
Australia's most prized fluffy icon, an encounter with a Koala is a must-do experience during your Aussie stay. With this experience you can have an up-close encounter with one of Featherdale's adorable Koalas! Get up close and personal and have your photo taken by our expert photographers so you can take home a photography package, as the ultimate souvenir of your visit to Featherdale!

Inclusions:
• The opportunity to meet a fluffy Koala
• Talk to our Koala keepers
• Take home a souvenir photo pack

Feel free to bring food to barbecue at the tree-shaded picnic sites in the wildlife park, or stop by the cafe for a pick-me-up. A souvenir shop sells mementos from the park.

Enjoyed seeing so many beautiful birds & the koalas were a highlight The farmyard enclosure consisted of pens some of which were a bit small but the animals seemed happy & were very friendly I was hoping to see a big crocodile but he was so small and half hidden All in all a great day out for an older couple & not too much walking involved Food at the cafe wasn't that good for what you pay & the coffee could be better but didn't have to wait long

An amazing array of furry and feathered friends. All seemingly content in extremely clean enclosures with plenty to eat and entertain. Excellent day out.

Great experience. Generally a nice place to visit, especially with children. Good way to spend 2 to 3 hrs.

Took our three grand children to Featherdale Wildlife Park. Venue was very busy. Was impressed with amount of Australian birds and animals that were on show. The children enjoyed getting close to animals and birds.. The only problem was when I went to get some drinks and something to eat. There were not enough staff on duty especially as it was school holidays and the wait was much too long. The poor boy on the cash register was doing his best with no help. Even after ordering the wait was just as long to receive Evan a cup of coffee, Really need to look at this problem.

I give 5 stars to Featherdale wildlife park. A place where the visitors have the best experience whilst all the animals comfort and safety are never compromised. Staff are friendly + animals in clean natural environment = experience of a life time.

The café and toilets are really bad, meat pies in packaging heated in microwave, and toilets that haven’t been updated in decades. This park needs some love

A great place to see the wildlife of Australia up close and personal. We went as part of a day trip to the Blue Mountains with Anderson Tours and it was a great addition. We were able to experience the animals in a personal way and even feed the Kangaroo. Highly recommend spending some time at the Featherdale Sydney Wildlife Park.

Easy to get to, lots of parking, arrived early with grandchild to attend the 20 minute free pre-booked hands on wildlife session for pre-schoolers where we met a tawny frogmouth and a woma python. This session enabled us to have a discounted $10 Pat a Koala Encounter which included a beautiful photo. We traversed the park along the pathways and met lots of the animals and birds, including animals not in enclosures. They enjoyed the food we had purchased to hand feed them. Staff were really friendly and helpful, from the lady at the ticket office to the staff tending to the animals and the lady working on her own at the cafe. The only downside is the pigeons stealing food from the animals and leaving droppings everywhere. Perhaps something can be done about this.
